The expert judge a work based on its quality of execution, the medium used, the topic itself, the period of execution, the state of conservation and especially the reputation of the artist. It is based on recent artist sales or comparable works.

Pierre Séguin, Director of Galerie Pierre Seguin, is associated with the visual art world since 1980. In 1986, he officially opened his first art gallery. Since then, he has always continued to deepen his expertise in artwork appraising.
Pierre Séguin is recognized as an associate member of the prestigious association The Appraisers Association of America (AAA) founded in 1949. In North America this organization is classified at the forefront of the appraisers associations of personal property.
Their members are found in the United States, in Canada, in Europe as well as in Asia.
For a consultation: $50.
For a written evaluation: $50 per work, or more if the work requires extensive research.
A quote can be provided for the assessment of a large collection.
