Chui Wang's work is
renowned internationally and is exhibited in many museums in China
and France among others. Throughout the years Wang has established a solid international
reputation while participating in many exhibitions and winning numerous prizes. This
master painter exhibits in galleries in Canada, United States, France and Monaco.
Education
In 1976, Chui Wang obtains a Bachelor of Arts degree at Hunan University.
In 1980, he received his Master of Arts from the la Central Academy of Fine Arts in
Beijing. His Master's thesis subject was portrait painting. From 1988 to 1990, he pursued
his studies in France within the framework of the Franco-Chinese exchange program with a
grant from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the School of Fine Arts in
Montpellier, France.
Professional Experience
From 1976 to 1978, he was a set designer for the Hunan Cinema Studio.
From 1980 to 1988, he held a position at the Central Academy of Fine Arts,
teaching drawing and oil techniques and directing workshops. Next he was appointed
as head of the teaching personnel at the same school from 1982 to 1988 and became a full
professor from 1986 to 1988.
He was a member of the Association of Chinese painters of Beijing, a member of
the Fine Arts Commission for junior professors at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in
Beijing and also, a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists.
