Dali, THE
Surrealism Master
We have acquired two original lithographies of
the master of the surrealism, Salvador Dali.

The first one is entitled “La tauromachie” (The
Bullfighting), is numbered 21/250 and is signed Dali at the
bottom right; a work full of colour and action, impetuous like its
author.
The second one was acquired more recently and is
part of a series entitled “Le bestiaire de La Fontaine Dalisine”. The
title of this work is “La cour du lion” (The Lion’s Court). Inspired
by La Fontaine fables, Dali produced 12 different works which were
printed on 3 different types of paper. The work that we present is
numbered 13/250 and was engraved by
pochoir with a dry point on a Japan nacre paper. Even though it is painted in pastel
colours we definitely recognize Dali style. His creative genius is
incredible. Dimension of the work is 50 cm x 48 cm on a paper of 76
cm x 58 cm. Each etching was signed and numbered by the artist. They
were published in 1974 at the
Éditions
des Maîtres Contemporains
in Paris.
We specially invite you at the gallery to admire these exceptional
works of Salvador Dali, the irrefutable master of surrealism.
